Some feeds showing my name as author

    Hi, in addition to the latest plugin version not showing links in new window/tab, it also seems to be showing some feed links with my name as the author while others are showing the remote article author as the author, as I prefer. Is anyone else having this issue??

  • I’m having the same issue with the link preferences. I have the Link Preferences set to open in a new tab but they are opening in a new window.

    Regarding the issue with the author name (my name) displaying, I noticed that when I was logged on to WordPress but when I logged off, my name was not displaying any more.

    We are aware of the issue with the links not opening in new tabs and are working to fix it for the next update. We apologize for the inconvenience.

    Regarding the author name issue, does this only occur for items imported from certain feeds or for all items regardless of feed? If this happens only for certain feeds, we kindly ask that you provide the URL/URLs so we can observe the problem on our testing sites and find a resolution for it.

    In my case, it’s showing author name as an UNKNOWN. it’s not appearing for some recent feeds (from last month). we’re importing feeds from blogger.com

    Hi @darshak99,

    We’ve found the cause of the issue. It’s a minor bug that occurs when a feed does not specify who the authors are. The expected behavior should be to not show any authors for such cases.

    The next version of the plugin will include a patch for this bug. You can expect that version to be released some time between this week and the next.

    This has been fixed in version 4.14. Please update and let us know whether the issue gets resolved on your site.

    It’s still as it is. i.e. Showing Feed “by Unknown” instead of Author Name.
