    Hi ghazele,

very nice work and an idea we were looking for since longer time. This plugin would give us a good realization possibility for our photo competition. People could upload three pictures very easily, leave their names and adresses etc. I didn’t found a suitable plugin for this purposes so far.
Therefore I took a closer look on the features you are offering.

Knowing that your plugin is extremely new, I would recommend to improve some parts (which are currently the reason for me to not use it in the productive environment):

    – The plugin is limited on one table only. To collect data in a second table (for a different purpose) it is necessary to set up a second wordpress system.
    – Each column of the table you are creating is limited to a varchar(255). Entering more text in a text area field will be truncated without comment.
    – The varchar size (especially for text areas) should be definable.
    – All in all the plugin would be more useful if you can define the number and the type of the columns first, and create the table afterwards.
    – If you have several columns in your table and much text in a text area field, this column is very tall in the backend and the table is not readable in anymore. You should truncate the overview of such fields to maybe 30 chars and append an “…” to it.
    – Storage of attachments: I would recommend to ask the user to define a subfolder for each of your tables in the uploads folder of wordpress. (Example: With this you can store all the uploads in one specified directory and it is not mixed up with other uploaded content. For a photo competition you would have all pictures in a dedicated folder and download it for review completely)
    – In the current version it is possible to be spammed from robots etc. It is necessary to integrate a capture code together with the submit button.
    – Security: Have you checked your input fields concerning SQL injection? I had ugly problems with that in the past, thats why I am asking.

So far, a very interesting plugin. I have set it under “observation” to see the progress in the next time and will definitly retest it when there are next versions.

I think you are on a good way.
I wish you good luck, many users and all the best for your plugin!

    Best Regards
    Ralf

    Hi Ralf,

Thank you so much for your feedback and please excuse me for my late reply, I was hardly sick in the past week and it took me a bit of time to recover again. I’m very glad to see that you were interested in the overall idea.

I also thought about some of the items that you’ve mentioned, I will definitely put those ideas into work and will release a new version with those features in mind. I’ll do my best to make it happen as soon as possible.

If there was anything else that you wish to have in your plugin, you are always welcome to let me know and I’ll do my best to help you out ??

    Wish you a happy time

    Hi Ralf,

I released the new version as promised.
I redesigned the structure of the plugin and used relational tables this time. So it can handle almost unlimited data and forms. It can also handle inputs in all languages. It dynamically creates separate upload folders for each form (named the same as the form with the prefix of data-storage for easy finding) and organized uploads, improved security, captcha, ability to download tables in CSV format, and many other cool features and abilities.

Take a look at the new description and give it a try. I think this one will meet your expectations.
Your feedback has been very constructive and I really thank you for that.

If you were happy with this plugin, I appreciate if you do a review on it and give it stars.

    Cheers ??

    Hi ghazale,
wow, I didn’t expected the improvements so quickly! As you see, you are on my watchlist. ;)) I’m currently preparing myself for a big event in two weeks: https://www.photoadventure.eu
I hope that we can use your plugin for our photo competition next year. This year its to late, but I will make a note in my calender for mid of june and retest immediatly after the event.
I promise to give feedback asap, write a review and rate it with stars.

One more thing: I’m planning to make a more intensive test. If I find critical things or bugs, its maybe easier for both of us to exchange feedback concerning security issues or beta-versions / fixes on the quick private way because I know its a lot of work to create a new release version for each detail, write release notes etc. Therefore it could save some time for both of us. Anyway, you can send me your private or business mail address to “info[at]photoadventure.eu” if you like. I will dig it out there. If it’s not ok for you, that’ll be ok for me, too. So decide yourself…

You’ll here from me somewhere in june!
Best regards and thanks already for realizing our input :)))

    Ralf
