I am getting the same error:

“There was a problem connecting with Publicize. Please try again in a moment.”

I did this by trying to join up my tumblr account to my (self-hosted) WordPress blog.
    Ideas?

I just tested this on my own site, and my sharing links work without any trouble. I tested using WP 3.4.2 and Jetpack 2.0 on Chrome 23.0.1271.64 on MacOS 10.7.5. Can you provide a link to where we can try clicking the sharing buttons on your site to test it out?

@jonschafer, if https://why-hellothere.com/ is the blog you’re working on, try entering that address into the Jetpack debug page at https://jetpack.me/support/debug/ and you’ll see that the test for XML-RPC fails. You should check to make sure your xmlrpc.php file exists on the server and allows connections. Some Jetpack communications depend on it to work, and yours is currently returning a 404 Not Found error: https://why-hellothere.com/xmlrpc.php

2 On while using Photon … it simply convert thumbnails to a large dimension image. . which look totally wired.

I think this will be fixed in Jetpack 2.0.1 when it comes out. Can you provide a link to an example page (or a screenshot) showing the images that you think look totally weird so I can try getting a closer look?

I found the problem. I turned off Social and my Twitter plugins and it works just fine. Great plugin!

I wish my posts that pushed to Tumblr would have images and videos, though.

Facing same problem on WordPress 3.4. Twitter connection working but not facebook. Any solution? Tried deactivating and reactive. didnt help

    Hi,
I’m having the same issue with Publicize.
    Running Version 2.3.5 of Jetpack
    and WordPress 3.6
Tried disabling and re enabling Jetpack still not working.
    Any Ideas on this?

    Thanks Jay

I’m also unable to update Facebook. When I do try I find the following in my error log:
PHP Warning: Missing argument 2 for wpdb::prepare(), called in …/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/secure-wordpress/inc/swUtil.php on line 137 and defined in …/htdocs/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 992

    WordPress 3.6
    Jetpack 2.3.5

@shupshe – you too, need to start your own thread per Jeremy’s post above.
