    Hi James,

We are currently using your plugin and encounted some issues on WordPress

    1. On a post we had, it took us like 7+ tries before we even got the keytake aways. It has title and content already as well. We tried clicking the button over and over, and create new post > copy content/title > then somehow it worked.
    2. We saw an error Failed to run thread from using the plugin. https://ibb.co/JYbN4d7

Note: it does work but we are encoutering these issues, do you have any information in mind about these? Thank you!

Thank you for reaching out and for using SummarAIze!

I understand the frustration of having to try multiple times before successfully generating the key takeaways. This can happen due to several factors, including API response delays.

About the “Failed to run thread” Message:

This message usually indicates that the Assistant API didn’t run properly. This could be due to temporary connectivity issues or API rate limits. Retrying often resolves the issue, but optimizing the settings can help prevent it from occurring frequently.

To improve consistency and minimize issues, I recommend trying the following:

    • Use Default Settings: Navigate to Settings > SummarAIze in your WordPress dashboard and reset to the default values. Choose the default model, first one in the list, it’s GPT-4o-mini. Then click, Regenerate Assistant.

If the issue persists or if you encounter any other errors, feel free to reach out again, and we’ll investigate further!

Also, Google Gemini has been added recently as an option. I’ve had good luck with it and it seems to be much faster.

Thank you for your patience and support.

    Best regards,
    James Wilson

Thanks for the clarification. Upon trying again for a few days using OPEN AI, we keep encountering the same issue so we tried now the “Free” API of Gemini, it works so fast. Cheers!
Just for more information, when should we use the “Paid” API of Gemini? The information on the page is kind of confusing. https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/pricing

    Thank you!

That’s awesome! I’m glad it’s working for you.

OpenAI—and really, all the providers—change things so often that it’s hard to keep up.

I’ve also had good luck with Google. Not sure how long they’ll keep the free tier available, but for now, it works just fine.

If you run into any other issues, feel free to reach out. And if everything’s working well and you’ve had a good experience, I’d really appreciate a review. Your feedback helps others and keeps me motivated to keep improving the plugin.

I actually added Gemini as a provider based on user feedback, so if there’s anything else you’d like to see, just let me know, and I’ll see what I can do.

    Thanks again for using Summarize!
