Some emails going to spam, others are not

  • Hi Mike,

    I’ve used this plugin for a few years and I have been happy with it, but I’ve noticed after testing the plugin after the last upgrade that some emails are going to spam while others are going to my inbox. The ones that are going to my spam folder don’t seem to have any apparent reason. I generated the emails myself on one computer and noticed that some are going to my spam folder. I’m on Hostgator and as far as I know the email addresses do not have to contain the website domain. It’s been working fine up to now. Can you troubleshoot this?

    I noticed an improvement when I made a change in the settings and unchecked the box under the Advanced tab –>Advanced Form and Email Settings where it said, “Enable sender information in email footer” which was already checked when I upgraded the plugin. After I retested, the email that was going to spam went to my inbox.

    I will keep testing, but in testing sending the mail to a different email address, the plugin seemed to send everything to my inbox the way it used to in the past.

    I don’t know if I totally solved the issue, but at least it’s improved.
