I was having the same problem. Seems it depends on what email provider you are using and or host. I checked with my host & found that the server was temporarily banned (it’s ok now). The temporary workaround was to use gmail & forward to whatever email.
Now, I’m dealing with gmail rejecting the emails sent from VFB as spam which prevents forwarding. The only way to recover them is to check my spam folder. Is their any way that I can assign a sender address such as mail@website.—? This way I can let whatever email host know that such a sender is not spam?
FYI..
This was the response from my host when I was having problems getting the form results using @msn.com email:
The MSN address shows:
SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data: host mx4.hotmail.com [65.54.188.110]: 550 5.7.0 (BAY0-MC3-F2) Message could not be delivered. Please ensure the message is RFC 5322 compliant.
This indicates that there is something that the MSN server is not liking with the headers of the message. Ensure that your form is set up with a proper reply-to address, and you may want to try switching from phpmail to SMTP.
