    I was getting the message “Some data was retrieved, but could not be parsed successfully. Please ensure your feed settings are correct.”
    I changed all (10) of the feeds to the correct calendar IDs. I am no longer getting that message but there is still nothing on the calendars when I “view feed” and nothing – not even a blank grid – shows up on the calendar page on my website, just the title “Calendar”. I also followed the directions to create an API key just in case it would make a difference. Our calendars are on a free (not business) account but the id shows up in the format in the instructions.

    @nick Young – yes, I specifically indicated in my post that

    My calendar is on a standard free Google account; my calendar id shows as my email address.

    So my calendar id shows up in this format: [email protected] – and not like in the example shows from the link you gave.

    I am having the exact same issue. I don’t have a calendar ID in the same format as the example – just an email address.

    What is the shortcode you are using on the page?

    Also, can you post a link to your site so I can take a look.

    Sorry about this guys, I will try my best to get all of you up and running smoothly.

    THanks for your patience!

    I just discovered that there can be issues if you have extra spaces when you copy over you calendar ID. Please make sure that there are no extra spaces or characters before/after your calendar ID in your feed settings option.

    Also, please make sure you have your calendar settings set to public and do not have “free/busy schedule” only checked.

    Hope this can help a few of you.

    Thanks

    Thanks, Nick. Just to confirm that’s not the case for me still – first thing I checked, but the problem is on sites that previously had working feeds using the Calendar ID.

    I appreciate you looking into the error and hope you find a solution soon ??

    I just ran the new update and still no calendar.

    I don’t have any extra spaces.
    My calendar settings have not been changed since they were working before.
    This is what is on the calendar page:
    [google-calendar-events type=”ajax” max=”500″]

    (This page was set up by the company that built the site and I don’t get much/any support from them. I do fine with content but this kind of thing is a bit above me. Thanks so much for any help.)

    Coworker was having GCal problems and asked me to assist. Seems like my issue is the same as spoonofmilk’s: Calendar was working for a number of months and recently started displaying errors instead. The calendar ID I’m using is just an email address, not the “group.calendar.google.com” as in the plugin examples.

    @nick Young – thanks! It did appear I had a extra space at the beginning of my calendar ID. I believe this may resolve my issue. Hopefully others will see theirs working soon also!

    @spoonofmilk,

    Please update to 2.1.3 so I can dig deeper into it and see if I can find the issue.

    @schneider21,

    Please post me a link so I can look.

    @janetwatgtbible,

    Looks like you are using the older shortcode. I would recommend updating to use the new shortcodes. ( https://wpdocs.philderksen.com/google-calendar-events/shortcode/ )

    @depperson,

    Sweet! Glad to hear that!

    I am having troubles and can’t seem to find the solution from the other forums. Here is my link:

    Never mind, it’s working now.

    @spoonofmilk,

    You have a space at the beginning of the calendar ID in your feed settings. Please remove that and it will work. Sorry for that, the issue has since been fixed that it will strip spaces automatically, but on the initial version it was an issue.

    @janetwatgtbible,

    I finally got a chance to try this. There is now a calendar on the page but no events and it is preceded by lots of error messages.

    (I just did the most recent update before this also)

    Nick,

    Are there plans to fix this plugin to work with private calendars again? It did prior to the update you created, but now just tells me “Some data was retrieved, but could not be parsed successfully. Please ensure your feed settings are correct.”

    Version: 2.1.5

    Feed Shortcode ex.: [gcal id=”1414″]

    Feed Settings (that worked prior to the update):

    Google Calendar ID: Private URL from Google Calendar
    Search Query: Blank
    Expand Recurring Events: Check box
    Date Format: Blank
    Time Format: Blank
    Cache Duration: 1800
    Multiple Day Events: Check Box
    Display Mode: Grid / List (we use both types)
    Show Paging Links: Uncheck box
    Number of Events per Page (List View Only): 1 Month
    Display Start Date Offset (List View Only): 0 Days Back
    Minimum Feed Start Date: 1 Month Back
    Maximum Feed End Date: 1 Month Forward
