Some customers cant enter credit card details

    Hi hoping someone can help, we have random customers who are unable to enter Credit Card details, I can recreate this sometimes if I use Chrome in incognito mode.

    The Square payment box just stays inactive, and you cant type in it at all.

    It is very confusing as it only seems to be effecting a few customers.

    Any advice please?

  • The intermittent nature of what you describe leads me to believe that it may be caused by a cached nonce. If this were the case, I would expect that there would be evidence of HTTP response code of 403 to AJAX calls to ?wc-ajax=update_order_review – I’d suggest having a look at the server access logs to see if you can determine if that is the case.

    Aside from that, I am unable to reproduce this in my testing nor am I able to find any reports of this type of behavior that are caused by Square in our issue tracker. If you can provide the exact steps that can be taken to reproduce this under the following conditions:

    1. An unmodified, default WordPress theme such as Twenty Twenty-one active
    2. No other plugins active except for WooCommerce and Square

    Please do let us know those steps and we can take a closer look.
