Some Comments Posting Twice in 2.03

Recently, I have started receiving duplicates of comments. Not all…just some. I have contacted the commenters who said they only posted one comment so it’s not a case of them double submitting their comments. I can’t even begin to guess what the cause could be. Does anyone know or has anyone experienced something similar? Any solutions? Thanks.

(Before anyone suggests that I upgrade to the newest WP, I’d like to say that I have tried numerous times and each time I end up with triplicates of all my posts and my host has to restore my blog from their back-up. That said, it seems I CAN’T upgrade.)
