    Hi,
I’ve been converting a site over to Gutenberg/Coblocks from the old editor and have noticed some oddities.

    1. Copying and pasting text into a single paragraph or heading block adds a space before and after the pasted content. This doesn’t occur if pasting in multiple paragraphs? It’s really annoying as it is easy to miss and can ruin the layout.

    2. I have not found a simple way of copying and pasting ‘row’ content from one page to another. Reusable block could help but they don’t work for me as there are subtle changes each time so I end up with lots of one-off reusable block? Better to copy, paste and modify.

I have found it is possible to copy (and paste) a formatted (Coblock) ‘row’ block with content if it is accompanied by a paragraph of text above it. Basically, you select the text and wipe down to include the formatted row block below too. You can then paste this into a new empty block and delete the extraneous paragraph. However, two things happen. The first is that empty ‘classic blocks’ are added above and below the newly pasted content. These can be deleted but it would be better if they didn’t appear. The second issue is that although the ‘row’ block padding settings are copied over, they don’t work when saved and viewed. You can get them to work by changing a padding size, save and then change it back again and save again.
It’s a bit of a faff but it works and is faster than recreating it from scratch.

…or is there an easier way of copying blocks?

    Hi @jim28100,

For the first issue listed, these sound like they are actually related to Gutenberg itself given that the two blocks mentioned are core blocks. Either way I was not able to replicate the issue by copy pasting text either with or without CoBlocks plugin running.

For the second issue about copying rows either within or to other pages, I would like to point out that the Reusable Blocks options are intended for this purpose. Doing the alternative copy and paste method I was able to copy only the row block by first clicking on the row block and then hitting the keyboard shortcut for copy on my machine (Ctrl + C). I was then able to move to another page and paste the row block by using the keyboard shortcut for paste on my machine (Ctrl + V). I did not find it necessary to copy paragraph blocks as you describe.

    Best regards,

    Anthony
