• I am pulling my hair out over here..

I have a couple of authorized authors/editors who are unable to link their WordPress profile to Facebook. The option simply does not show up in their profile page.

I have had them log in using multiple browsers (Firefox, Chrome, IE and Safari) and different operating systems (Mas OS, Win XP, Win 7, Win 8) but none of them showed the link option at ALL.

Is there something else I should be looking at having them do or is there a way to MANUALLY add the required data to the usermeta table so I can move on..

Are some WordPress users able to see the option on their profile page while others see nothing? If no users can see an option to associate their WordPress profile with a Facebook profile then you likely have an issue with your Facebook application. If a few authors report issues you might ask them to remove browser add-ons that could block resources from loading (such as an ad blocker).

It’s the first situation.. Some WordPress users able to see the option on their profile page while others see nothing. and thanks for confirming. I’m sure it’s some kind of local issue for them as when I login with their user account I can see the linking options.. Just wanted to make sure that my conclusions were correct..

Just checked with the editor in question.. he SWEARS he does not have any ad-blockers installed in his Mac or PC systems..

I have posted several comments on these threads because a lot of people seem to be having similar problems to the ones I have encountered today and it would be nice to see this resolved.

It seems that things like the textbox to link to your Facebook page on the WordPress profile page not appearing and the various like and link buttons not showing up on posts and the entire comment section disappearing when the plugin is activated are connected with the browsers people are using.

The plugin and its features seem not to work properly in Chrome or IE but do work in Firefox and Opera. There may be other variations.

Perhaps if anyone reads this, they could jot down their experiences to see if there is a pattern and maybe it could be resolved.

    Thanks.

There is clearly some issue with this plugin.. I clearly have some authors who are unable to see the data they need to link their Facebook account to their WordPress user.. The author that is having this issue finds that it is an issue on both his Mac and PC using a variety of browsers on both platforms. (Chrome, IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera) He DOES NOT have any kind of popup blockers active on his computers.
