    Hi,

Is anybody aware of a simple solution to delete posts older than x days old, but only in one specific category? I’d rather not have to do this (relatively) simple task manually….

I have a category with has automatically created posts from RSS feeds which adds about 35 posts a day which are outdated after ~3 months.

The plugins for this seem to be thin and ineffective for this.

I’ve seen that there might be a way to achieve this through setting up a cron job? Is there anything easier to use?

    Any help is appreciated!

    Hi t-p,

Thanks for the pointer, however that’s the (ineffective) plugin which I was referring to.

My problem is that I need to delete only posts from ‘category x’ which are over 90 days old however leave the posts in the other categories.

It’s possible to run a MySQL database query to do it but I don’t know if this can be automated through a cron job or similar?

Has anybody got any ideas about that?

    Thanks
