After somehow accidentally destroying my own MySQL database I was not only able recover everything on the site but also create a backup redirect website for future failures.

My late night site cleanup definitely did not go as planned. After ruining my own website I began trying to recover it using a Softaculos backup. That only made things worse, much worse. Next I tried my web hosting provider tech support and with their assistance I was able to recover everything. Well almost everything. The only thing they couldn’t fix were the missing MySQL files… no matter what they tried.

Luckily I had downloaded a copy of WP Backitup files. By simply following the instruction on their website I was able to restore the MySQL database. Next I went and made a duplicate of my website under a web address that I usually just redirect to the main site.

This second duplicate migration did not go exactly as planned. However, WP Backitup support was outstanding. They took me step by step thought the trouble shooting. Then took my files and converted them to the latest WP Backitup standard, tested them for me on their own development server, and then returned them back to me. Outstanding support every step of the way.

If you don’t know how important your MySQL database is to your WordPress install you should either read up — a LOT — or just simply buy this software. The support team stood by their product 100% and I highly recommend this Plugin.
