• Hello WP multisite users
I’m trying to create a staging site for my multisite. Looking around online, it seems like the best way to do this might be with Softaculous.
So I opened Softaculous and found my sites and opened them there.
I was happy to see that Softaculous could set my sites to auto-update plugins and themes there. So I did that with my two subdomains. But when it came to my main domain, I got a message saying:

The MySQL Username or Password or Database host is wrong as a connection could not be established.

    Then it offered:

Allow Softaculous to fetch the database details ?

So I ticked the box and OK. But nothing happened, no matter how many times I tried.
I don’t know what it means by

MySQL Username or Password or Database

being wrong, since I can access the site OK?
Does anyone have any experience of this, and of how to fix it.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Softulous is a 3rd-party product that’s (very likely) licensed and provided to you by your web host. We do not know how Softaculous works, and cannot provide any support.

Please get in touch with your host (or the Softaculous developers directly) for help wth this, as they should be in the best position to help you.

    Good luck!
