Softaculous and direct install sizes

  • Hi,

    I installed WordPress using Softaculous and it is 36.46 MB on the server.
    When I download it from WordPress it is 9.96 MB in my file system.

    Is there a difference in size if you upload yourself and install?

    There isn’t much webspace on this account so any saving that can be made will really help!
