    are there any plugins which provide social sharing buttons which need to be enabled first in order to respect users’ privacy?

    like this, but just as a wordpress plugin: https://github.com/panzi/SocialSharePrivacy

    other solution would be: how can i use above project (which is a jqery plugin) on my wordpress pages?

    okay i managed to do it “manually” without the need for a plugin.
    this page has a step-by-step guide on how to do it generally: https://panzi.github.io/SocialSharePrivacy/

    for wordpress you need to add the scripts to the header via action hooks. and of course add the <div> in any template where you want it to appear.
