Social sharing not showing preview

    When I use the FB share button OR if I just copy and paste the link into FB what I am getting is the name of the site only. There is no title, description or image.

    I ran the FB debugger it is showed up the following errors. However, all of what FB says is missing is on the page in the <head> of the post.

    I am using the free version of Yoast.

    — FB DEGUGGER MESSAGE —
    Inferred Property: The ‘og:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.

    Missing Properties: The following required properties are missing: og:url, og:type, og:title, og:image, og:description, fb:app_id

    We checked on your page and see that the Yoast SEO plugin is outputting the Open Graph metadata correctly, but that your page has a very large amount of custom CSS that occurs on the page before the Open Graph metadata, which is causing Facebook to not ever read the Open Graph data. You can see this if choose the option for “See exactly what our scraper sees for your URL” in the Facebook debugger.

    Everything has suddenly just resolved itself on the live site.
    No explanation. But it works and I’m happy.
