    I usually suspect a hack attack when unauthorized content appears, but social links are not typically the sort of links hackers inject. Even though you checked your plugins, I suspect it’s coming from one of them. Try deactivating all of them and see if the content disappears. Reactivate one by one to identify which plugin is injecting the links.

    If the links are still there with all plugins deactivated, try switching to one of the WP default themes. If you still see the links after all of that, then it might actually be a hack attack. It is strange that social links show up on internal footers.
