    Hey there,

I’m curious about a recent discovery. We were yoasts plugin alone for seo before adding wpsso and removing the search profiles from yoast. Now all of our location data for IS Studio is served through your local plugin.

Do you have any idea why the social profile logos disappeared from Google’s search results that displayed our Maps profile? I see the “sameas” information in the page source when I view it.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I can’t tell you why Google decides to change the way they show search results or social profiles – they have their own reasons – but you may want to re-think your home page markup:

    https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fisscreenprinters.com

    – Choose to include Organization details or Person details, not both (Person is not enabled by default).

    – Remove the ‘provider’ value from your WebSite markup, unless you have a specific reason for using the ‘provider’ property.

    – Edit the Organization details for your home page using the WPSSO ORG add-on (if you need more options than the basic Organization details from the SSO > General Settings page).

Where do I find the provider section to remove it?

See the Document SSO metabox when editing that page.

Okay so when I edit the page I don’t see anything labeled “provider” in the WPSSO section of the post/page.

Can you tell me what i’m doing wrong? Apologies

Document SSO (metabox) > Customize (tab) > Schema JSON-LD Markup / Rich Results (section) > Provider (option).

Is there another place? Its not appearing for my version. Maybe because im on the free version?

Okay so I unchecked my Organization location inside of WPSSO settings and the errors went away but i’m no longer seeing the business hours and address listed in the markup.

Also the provider section still shows. I know you did not ask me to uncheck Organization Location but i began testing after not finding the “provider” area where you asked me to look.

I know this is the free version. I do not want to take advantage of you. I just want this working as well as possible because the business is under threat during the current crisis. We don’t have room for paid marketing any longer so every internal low cost/no cost item working optimally is necessary.

basically i want this configure as correctly as possible as I transition into doing business without marketing.

I believe i have it working! If you check now there are no errors. I had to deselect local business and selected “wholesale store” instead. I hope that’s correct.

    Do you have any thoughts?

WPSSO Core and its add-ons are very flexible, and allow you to create and fine-tune a wide variety of different Schema markup. Unfortunately, if you start making changes without knowing *why* you’re making those changes, you can end up with a kind of spaghetti, as you’ve experienced.

You’ve probably changed the defaults under SSO > Schema Markup > Meta Defaults – specifically the default Provider. You should not change those defaults unless you know *why* you are changing them.

The SSO > Organization > WebSite values are used for the Publisher information for your site’s Articles etc. Google only accepts certain Organization sub-types as Publishers – again, you should not change the default Schema type (Organization) unless you know *why* you are changing it.

Selecting a location for your WebSite organization is a good thing, and that location will appear in the Organization markup on your home page.

If you are creating your Schema markup for Google, them please refer to Google’s documentation before making changes: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/guides/search-gallery

wow okay interesting. I will read this documentation. Can I reset it back to defaults?

    (@mykkal)

Please i hate to bother you but is there a way to reset it to defaults? I can’t send to find that option.

Wow, well thanks for your help.

Enable the “Remove Settings on Uninstall” option on the SSO > Advanced settings page, then uninstall and re-install the WPSSO Core plugin.
