• When a user signs up using a social network that does not include an email they are prompted to enter their email address in the popup modal. When an email is entered and confirm is pressed a screen immediately appears that says “Are you sure you want to do this?” the title tag says “WordPress Failure Notice” and when you click “Please Try Again” it bring you back to the profile page with the same prompt. The user is never allowed to enter their email. Is this a known issue? Any ideas on a fix? Any help is appreciated. I would like to collect emails in case I ever need to send out an email to all my members.

    Thanks for the help!

  • I think I can reproduce this, or something close:

    1. Create a local account with an email address you also use on a social network, say Facebook.
    2. Log out.
    3. Now try a Facebook login. A prompt for email address appears.
    4. Enter the email address, and you’re redirected to the “Are you sure?” page.
    5. Clicking the “Please try again” link repeats the process.

I’m sorry but I’m not able to reproduce this bug.
Do you have a blog where I could test and see this error?

    Regards,

You can see the issue on the following staging site by registering for a normal WordPress account, then trying a Facebook login for an account with the same email:
