Social Menu Phone Number

    I’m trying to add a phone number on the social menu like the one in the Karuna theme. I only want the text to be clickable. I don’t need an icon. Every time I try to add the phone number, it shows as a link icon and is displayed on the right side.

    Does anyone know how to add a phone number and make it be on the left side of the social bar?

  • Hi there!

    The phone number you see in Karuna’s demo is actually a site description (tagline), so you won’t be able to make it clickable unless you add some additional code to the theme. If you want to do that, I recommend creating a child theme.

    With the inbuilt tools, and without modifying the theme, you can either have the phone number displayed as on the demo or add the icon and have it as a link in the social menu.

    The clickable phone number would be an added bonus, but not necessary at this time.

    How would I go about displaying the phone number as displayed on the demo? I’ve tried adding the phone number using a custom link, but it displays a link icon and not the number.

    That is set via the Site Tagline, not the social menu. You can see the setting here in the site customizer: https://d.pr/i/TDoqxt

    Please note that screenshot is of the WordPress.com version of the theme, but for your self-hosted WordPress site it will be very similar looking but not exactly the same.
