Is there anyway to import blogs from www.remarpro.com to a hosted blog WITH the past shared data from this plugin?

I did this last week (the import) and didn’t notice until my client did that Facebook Likes, shares, Tweets, etc. – everything was at zero. The import got everything else – the blogs, images, and comments. But no social share data.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks!

    Heather

    Hi

WordPress does not have social data built into it and this plugins purpose is for WordPress standard data.

If you have any data in tables that were created by plugins you will need to handle those database tables separately. Pop over to the Easy CSV Importer plugin forum and make a request for import ability to the social pugin that was being used. ECI was re-developed and re-released today and will continue to improve on demand.

If you move your site contents from one domain name to another, FB likes will not follow those posts as people like a URL and if that URL changes, etc. You can pass an old URL to twitter and it will maintain the social count.

    Its not a WP problem.

I think I meant to say what cent said, much better explanation. It’s the same with Google+ isn’t it. However I’ve seen a page being removed from my website then added again with the exact same slug and it retains the older counters. Not possible in your case as your domain is different.

It is a shame to lose a lot of likes and pluses.
