social media icons disappeared

    Hello,

    I recently installed the optimole plugin on my blog and all my social share buttons have since disappeared. There used to be small white icons representing the social site within each red box. Now all that shows up are red boxes on the bottom and top. Is there a way to fix this?

    I’ve also noticed that the images seem to take longer to lead up than before with smush and the image quality has went down quite a bit. I’m not an expert in this by any means but is this what is supposed to happen with the optimole plugin?

  • Hello,

    Please add to the exclusion list in Optimole “symbol-defs.svg” as a file name since is causing some CORS issues on your website.

    This should fixe all issues with the social icons.

    With regards the the images taking longer I can’t see the issues, most of the images load under 50ms for me. You can increase the quality by moving the option from Optimole to 90 instead of auto.

    Also you can try toggling the generic placeholder for lazy-loading and see if that works better for you.
