I have my social media button scripts (AddThis cluster of buttons, Facebook Like & Share buttons) in a sidebar text widget, and they have stopped appearing when the site is viewed using Chrome. All is fine with Firefox, Safari, etc.

URL is https://www.WeBuyEuros.com. Buttons should be at the very top of the sidebar on almost every page.

The spot where the buttons belong is blank, although “inspect elements” reveals that the widget is operating in that blank space.

I know that other people have had troubles with Social Media Buttons displaying properly in Chrome, but mine were fine until recently. No recent updates to plugins, WP, etc. Also, I verified that the scripts are correct by generating new ones on FB, etc. and everything matches up.

Any suggestions as to why my Social Media Buttons don’t appear in Chrome?

    Two additional facts:

    1) The buttons show up in Chrome when I use the mobile version on my tablet: and

    2) I turned off the Chrome AdBlock extension on my laptop to see if that was the problem and it didn’t make any difference.

    Thanks.

    SOLVED!

The Avast Online Security Extension for Chrome was blocking the button script from operating properly.

When I turned off that extension, the buttons appeared properly.
