Social Login is not working with WPGlobus plugin

  • Facebook, Twitter and Google+ Social Login buttons are not working with WPGlobus plugin when website has different language.

    Example:
    Go to page https://airat.biz/ (ru_RU) and try to click on Social Login buttons. They are working good.
    Then try to change language in footer to en_EN. You will get a new home page https://airat.biz/en/
    Try to click on Social Login buttons – they will not be working (Only VK is working good).

    You can check it on different pages.
    For example https://airat.biz/blog/ and https://airat.biz/en/blog/

    Solution: You should use URL https://airat.biz/ for request (without /en/)
    Can you fix this?

    I don’t tested other social networks: LinkedIn, Instagram, Xing, Steam, Twitch, LIveJournal.
    I think with other social networks will be the same problem (because request URL is wrong).

    When you switch to another language, home_url() function returns the language code appended to the domain and it’s different from the url you have saved in the apps you configured. The plugin you are using to support multiple languages, does it create a folder/subsite for each language, like – en, es etc? Is your website behaving like a folder based multisite network?

    No. /en/ is just a URL suffix. There is no real subfolders. You can use domain https://airat.biz by default for all languages.

    Okay. Thanks for the details. Will get back to you as soon as I find a way to make social login compatible with this plugin.
