    Your color_options.CSS (from your theme) is overriding the font declaration for the widget:

    div.widget-area ul li, div.widget-area ul li a, aside.widget li, aside.widget li a, .widget, .widget ul, .widget ul li, .widget a, .widget-area a:link, .widget-area a:visited {
    font-size: 13px;
    font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;
    }

    Is there any way I can bypass that or do I need to add social icons with something else?

    Thank you.

    I’m not familiar with your theme so I don’t know if or how you would correct the issue.

    Moni – I went to your site, it looks like you were able to fix your issue. Can you tell me how you did it? I am having the same problem where my social icons are grayed out.

    Didn’t fix it. I simply erased the plugin. Since it did not play nice with my theme and no one was able to provide me with info on how to bypass that.

    I believe Ron did give you information above as to the specific section of css in your theme that was overriding the plugin.

    Pointing out the CSS that is overriding it is not worth much to someone who does not code. And while he pointed out the issue, he also stated that he was not familiar with my theme and therefore with how to correct it. So I had to erase the plugin as it was not useful to me.

    It’s the css in your theme that would have had to have been changed is all.

    Yes, I understand that. But I don’t know how to do css. So I’m not about to mess with something I don’t understand.

    Hi. I am setting up a new site trying to use the simple social media widget.

    My site url is: https://www.denatestabray.net . It is currently under construction, so please excuse the mess. I working with a Genesis Framework, Agency Pro theme.

    I have the widget installed. It shows up properly when I look at my site using Firefox.

    I typically work with Chrome, where the icons do not show up properly when I view the site.

    How can I get this widget to work no matter which browser folks are using?

    I have all the latest updates on my computer (Mac) including the most recent version of Chrome.

    Any help will be appreciated….

    They were fine for me in Chrome. Try clearing your browser cache.

    Hi.

    I am glad they are working fine for you in Chrome.

    I have cleared my cache several times. And I just cleared cookies and site data…..all active log ins….but they are still not displaying properly.

    I’d appreciate any other ideas you have.
