Social Icons have nofollow links

I can find code in WordPress core for adding ‘nofollow’ to comment links and content links, but not in widgets. It might be due to a plugin.
But I think it’s doing you a favor, and wouldn’t remove it. It is better for your site’s SEO to keep the spider on your site instead of sending them off to a well-known site like a social site.

What plugin provides that widget?

Thank you both for your replies! The widget is called “JP – Social Networks” which I believe is part of the theme. I am happy to leave the links with the nofollow attribute if that would be better.

You’re using a commercial theme/plugin, so please use their official support channel. We feel they are best equipped to support their products.
