Simpler than that, now I downgraded to SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, version 1.8.6. Please visit https://www.pan-portugal.com/, look at bottom of screen. Compare with the icons at top of screen.

This was the last version that worked fine. I thought it was the theme, but it happens to be the SO Widgets Bundle.

I have another site with a different theme and the same problem, look at https://www.spaltron.net/, also look at bottom of page.

    Thanks

The idea with the tests were to try and figure out where the issue is coming from. Once rolled back, unfortunately, you aren’t able to run any tests. That’s cool, no problem. The challenge though is that if I can’t replicate then I struggle to log the issue further for our developers because I can’t detail steps to recreate the issue. I’ll try to replicate again tomorrow and let you know how it goes. Default settings didn’t have any problems, I’ll try further settings.

If you can leave spaltron as is for the moment, that’ll be great. I’ll chat to the team again tomorrow and we can look at that site as an example. Thanks for your help.

    OK

Thanks for the wait. Both Alex and Braam here at SiteOrigin have taken a look. We’re unable to reproduce locally. The new version of the Widgets Bundle has a new LESS compiler so it opens the door for a plugin conflict that might not have existed before. Please, temporarily deactivate all plugins not authored by SiteOrigin, is there is a change? If not, before reactivating all plugins, try saving the widget, any change then? Thanks, let us know how that goes.

    OK
    I will spaltron.net
Every single plugin IS disabled (all) BUT SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle.
I disabled even the plugins of my hosting, has to do with cache.
I changes the size of the icons to ‘large’ and saved.

Now take a look, the problem is the same.

I can enable a WP standard theme, if you want.

Thanks. Do you have settings to clear your cache? If you do, please, clear the cache before deactivating the caching plugin.

Briefly switching to a default WP theme just for a test would also be helpful to rule the theme out as a problem. Thanks.

Final request from Braam, our Widgets Bundle developer is to:

    1. Add the widget to a Page Builder page, does the same issue occur as in a theme widget area?

    2. If the answer to 1 is YES then please, download the layout. Click Prebuilt > Import/Export, download the layout JSON file, upload to a cloud site like Dropbox or Drive and send us the link for testing. Thanks.

    1. Activated cache, clear cache & deactivated again.
    2. Switch to Twenty Seventeen theme.
    3. All widgets were cleared in the process, created new social icon widget in footer.
    4. Looks OK, both in frontend and preview.
    5. I don’t have ‘Page Builder’.
    6. I will leave as it is now, I am going out, later I will try this with PAN Portugal.
    7. Needed BIG clearing.

    Alain

Super, glad to hear you’ve made progress. When switching themes widgets should just drop into the Inactive widgets area at Appearance > Widgets, when switching back they should be in place.

Thanks for being patient, appreciate it.

    OK, done!
Both sites updated and working as expected!
    Thank you so very much!
