Social Icons

  • Since I updated my social icons are not showing. I have looked at the release notes and the previous posts but they do not tell me how to fix it.

    I have tried disabling awesome fonts but this did nothing, they still did not show.

    The links are still active but there are no icons, only boxes.

    Something like this happened on one of my previous sites.

    The sticky social links on my client site are not displaying as well. They seem to go visible and not. Or display squares. I do have floating Icons from another plugin as backup but would be nice to have proper display from the theme itself.

    Yes mainly use chrome browser. For a few days now only squares. Not at all visible in Internet Explorer.

    Currently using free version. I suggested to test the theme before spending to see the existing issues that could be there. Is anyone using paid version and if so are there same issues?

    I am wondering if the creators of the theme are seeing this thread of questions and the social icon issue. If so I think they would have fixed it. Seems to be updated

    @neetha, Almost certainly a plugin conflict. Deactivate ALL your plugins, Test and if OK, reactivate one-by-one to find the culprit.

    @rdellconsulting, thank you for the suggestion. I am curious if the theme itself has issue with plugin display.

    Initially there was a message that there is an issue and was give PHP short code to insert in editor. but still it did not do anything.

    Facebook like box does not display. I deactivated it and took the code from facebook itself but still not doing anything.

    I’ve the same problem… maybe depend on browser, mozilla doeasn’t work but chrome and explorer work correctly. I hope this issue will solved soon.

    @rdellconsulting, thank you. I deactivated plugins that came in with previous paid theme and the icons displayed. I did not need to deactivate all of them.

    But that is probably a good thing.

    This theme seems to have issues with plug in and or shortcode display. Because I can’t display mail chimp for in the footer and facebook page plugin code also.

    Not sure what other problems it will create. Most likely the developer is focused on the paid theme working.

    Thanks and I hope it stays well. because it theme has different set of issues in general. I guess least installed and patience is all.

    Yes I agree it is browser display too sometimes.

    oops caught my typos. Mail Chimp html code for signup form does not display in footer but it does in the sidebar.

    I tried Facebook page plugin in the sidebar but only displays white rectangle with name.

    I meant to say each theme has its own set of issues so finding one that works overall would be nice.
