• Hi,

    So i’m trying to use Social-Connect on WordPress 3.1, but I’m not getting anywhere,.

    I’ve tried installing it under social-connect, and wp_social_connect I’ve tried modifying the file so it points to /user.php rather than /registration.php but all I get is each of the links saying javascript:// (chrome/firefox) or just // (safari)

    I feel like I’m doing something stupid, but have no idea what I’m doing wrong,

    I’m also using the modularity lite theme, but that shouldn’t worry about a login button…Any help that can be offered would be most appreciated…

    From
    Gemma

  • trying to use Social Connect on my site, all the icons show up as designated, but all of them point to javascript:void(0);

    I’ve changed everything in my Facebook App profile, and checked all my settings through my dashboard. Is there something I am doing wrong?

    At my site ‘Suck The Fystem ‘The Icons are working on my wp-login; however, on my custom register page and on the comment forms the icons are Visible, but not clickable.

    I have exercised many options and dug through every forum, and finally.. I have to ask.. any thoughts?

    I tried: renaming social-connect folder as recommended to wp_social-connect, looking through ui.php, tried deactivating all the plugins and widgets(adsense, all other social plugins) and nothing is working.

    The icons just won’t click..

    @rue_kompa, the JavaScript is not being loaded on your custom login page. What are you using to create the page? I will try to make social connect compatable with it.

    @richard.b.leivdal a similar issue, what other plugins are installed? Where are the icons being displayed? Something is preventing the social connect JavaScript from being output.

    Worpress V 3.3.1

    Has anyone got Social Conect to work with phpBB and the wordpress plugin WP phpBB Bridge?

    Without SC when you login you get directed to phpBB and login there, it then sends you back to wordpress. Both are then connected. Registering with one does both.

    If you logout and try to use SC it connects to Google/FB etc but doesn’t refresh and log you into WP. I’m guessing because of the way the phpBridge works it’s not possible to use both. If anyone know otherwise or knows of a similar plugin/mod for phpBB (a social connect) I’d appreciate it.

    Cheers – Colin G.
