Social Broadcast of Woocommerce Products does not include images

  • Hello
    Would like to start by saying how brilliant I think WordPress is. I have designed and managed my own e-commerce site with virtually No computer/web design knowledge at all.

    My question/problem is that when I try to broadcast recently added products to Facebook and Twitter the featured image does not appear on the post ( no image appears).

    I am operating wordpress 4.0, I have Social plugin and Woo commerce on my site

    What do you think the problem could be ?

    P.S. I have also tried to copy and paste link from address bar but that doesn’t work either.

  • Try using Yoast SEO Plugin.

    It should add necessary Facebook Open Graph tags. Adds a lot of other benefits too.

    I already have Yoast wordpress SEO plugin
    Is there something I need to check in the settings maybe ?
    Don’t know anything about Open Graph Tags

    In your Dashboard, look for SEO > Social.
    ‘Add Open Graph meta data’ should be checked.

    What are you using to ‘broadcast’ products to Facebook?

    Is it just Facebook and Twitter? How is Pinterest working for you?

    Is it for you to promote products, or are you looking to add sharing functionality for your visitors?
