SOAP-ERROR: Encoding: string is not a valid utf-8 string

  • Hello,
    most of the content in our shop is in arabic
    latly i am not able to create a shipment with custom’s documents.
    i would get this error:
    SOAP-ERROR: Encoding: string ‘??????? ?????!, ???, ????, ??????? ?????!, ?????, ???, ???, ???, ???, ??????? ?????!, ?????, ???, ?????????? ??????? ?????? ?????, ???, ??? ????, ?\xd8…’ is not a valid utf-8 string

    the phrases here in arabic are actually the product categories.

    please note that this problem happens with DHL international packet but not with warenpost internatinal for example.

    can you please send me the full text that includes this “, ???, ???, ???, ??????? ?????!, ?????, ???, ?????????? ??????? ?????? ?????, ???, ??? ????, ?\xd8…”, it seems your text has a special character that can’t be used on the program, thus customizing the program is time-consuming we’d fix this text for you now if there’s any character that is not working with our encoding methods.

    how can i get the full text? that is all what is being showen in the DHL widget.
    is there a log where i can find the full text?

    To be clear, this only happens for DHL International Packet but not Warenpost International? Have you reached out to DHL Support to ensure they can support Arabic?
