• This works quite well for user-side HTML sitemaps (not to be confused with the XML sitemaps for Google). I was using Simple Sitemap as I do like simple, but this one manages to be as easy to use while adding some options I needed. I like that I can display any combination of posts, pages, authors, categories, …, just with a shortcode parameter. It allows me to remove posts from the listings. And though I haven’t needed it, I like that I can change the template for displaying the entries.

I have one feature request: I wrote code to create my own secondary page menus (e.g., for sidebars), and sometimes there are pages that shouldn’t be displayed (e.g., contact form response pages). I have a “post_options” taxonomy that I use for situations like this. So by applying the term “hide_from_menus” I can keep a page from the sidebar. It would be great to see an option like this for sitemap display so that I don’t have to remember to grab the post ID and add it to the “don’t display” list.

I may have just talked myself into making my own sitemap plugin. ??
