    The update to TinyMCE 4.0 has hit a lot of plugin developers quite hard. ??

    Thanks for the info – I really do appreciate the work that developers do to make these plugins and a I don’t wish to seem ungrateful at all. It just got under my skin a bit.

    I release new versions based on user feedback and whether I think it’s critical to push an update right away or to “save up” updates for later. If you find that the current version you’re using is working for you fine, then it isn’t necessary to update the plugin with every update. It’s possible the update affects a feature of the plugin that you don’t use particularly.
