• Hey thanks for updating your plugin and completely changing how it works in it’s entirety completely breaking all of the modal windows on my site.

The only way I can get the plugin to work is by removing all instances of ‘href=”#”‘ in all of my pages, widgets, etc. WHAT A PAIN……

Also – Flash will not play inside the modal windows…..not YouTube, not Vimeo —- bah. Thanks a lot….time to search out a new plugin and redo all this work….

I was just forced to revert to the past version – everything works now.

So many bugs with your update. I cannot believe that you released an update that actually functions differently. This should have been released as a different “Easy Modal” plugin – not an update to the existing one.

Honestly, the update should be removed from www.remarpro.com.

I’m sorry you had issues but the plugin just like WordPress itself has to evolve.

Flash works fine in the modals, both youtube and vimeo, have tested these functionality many times before and again just now.

The only thing that would have had to have been changed would be that you would need to choose which modals load how. This may seem like a pain but it expanded on the abilities of the plugin to allow more compatibility with other plugins that just didnt work before without hacks.

The classes to open each modal didnt change so you wouldnt have to update your links at all, just enable the modals sitewide or page/page where needed.

PS. the update that changed all this has been out for nearly a year since WordPress 3.5.2.

Also you really shouldnt need to do anything as there is a built in upgrading script that should change all modals to sitewide by default.

If you want to give me a link i would be happy to take a look and see what the problems you have may be. Ultimately the plugin will not go backwards and there is a lot of new functionality that is still to be added so although it is up to you updating would be best.

If you don’t update your WP or theme I would leave it but if you are updating all the way around then you should follow through and I would be glad to assist.
