So far, so good!

We were concerned at the outset, about installing this plug-in, but from the time we got it in place, it has worked. Our frustrations have not been with the plug-in, at this point, but with waiting for Google to “validate” and “index” our pages. After a couple of days, however, we have started seeing validated pages indexed and our articles slowly but surely trickling back into Google News. So, as I said, so far, so good; we look forward to hearing about others’ experiences with this plug-in and the AMP roll-out in general, as well. Riccarbi said “promising” in a previous post; I agree.
