Oh gosh, I’ve been searching for hours to try and find a VERY SIMPLE solution for this BBPress forum. I thought that this plugin would fix it my issue but I’m starting to think that its not what I’m looking for. This is all that I need…

When a regular visitor come to my website, I want them to be able to see the forum and topics but not the contents. When they try to view the contents, I would like for them to be redirected to a login/registration page.

I see that this plugin has that functionality but it does not work. When I tested it, it gave me the yellow box that stated that no topics was in the forum. Although that did protect the content, your plugin states that it will redirect the person to the link that I put in the box. It never redirected me.

I just want want something that will allow my forum to be visible and if the person that is trying to access the contents is not logged in, I want it to redirect them to a page to register. Is this possible with your plugin?

Also, I read this under the “HELP” section… but it tells me to set up this “below”. There was nothing “below” to set up.

All forum titles (and optionally descriptions) visible to both logged on and non-logged on users.

DESCRIPTION : Users and non-users will be able to see that group forums exist, but not access topics/replies.

POSSIBLE USAGE : show that lots of forums exist, with ability to go to “sign-up” page.

TO SET : Set visibility to public below and set forums to public in each forum’s attributes (dashboard>forums).

**** I followed these instructions and it never redirected me to my login/registration page.

Yes sorry that wording is confusing, I’ll take out the word ‘below’ from the help text, it was copy/pasted from the page itself in error.

My plugin does not allow users to see topic titles, the demand was to hide forum content rather than topics content.

So sorry that in not what the plugin will do.

If you wanted a simple ‘you need to be logged in’ with a link in the content box, I could probably do a plugin to do this – contact me via my website https://www.rewweb.co.uk
