• This theme really has the makings to be good, but it’s lacking several important things.

First of all, it lacks any theme options page.

Secondly, only being able to display widgets in the footer is a major downer. I really don’t need a slider to span the entire width, and would to be able to list the latest posts to the right of the slider.

Third, when you click on the page navi at the bottom to get to the older posts, the page setup is the same as the front page with no way of changing it through theme options. I don’t need the slider on every page.

Fourth, the single post page looks really nice, but there’s a lot of wasted space on the left hand side that could be used for other things.

Overall, this theme has potential. Just not sure if I’m up to making all of the changes need to make it work for my needs.

  • You can (and should) learn to manipulate the coding in any theme. All four of the issues you mentioned could be completed using under 50 lines of coding. I have a coding background (HTML, CSS, PHP) for 10+ years, but never tried WordPress until I saw this theme and I was able to easily convert it to how I needed including a sidebar on the right (that could have widgets in it, I chose to code my own custom page though).

The slider is an integral part of this theme.

    Also, it’s free don’t cry.

These options would be great and I am in the same position as you, I am no HTML expert this is why I chose a theme and wordpress (which I do pay for), last time I tried HTML i locked myself out of my blog and ended up with no blog for a few days and had to pay someone to bring it back up!
