    Hi,
The snippets in SEO Title are visualized by Yoast as expected, but after Publishing the product category changes, they do not show any text.

Here are screenshots showing the issue and how to manually replace the text.

Please assist. I have the newest version of WP and Yoast.
    Best regards,
    Emo

  • Hi,

We apologize for the difficulties you are having with the plugin. We would like some more information.

    1. Is the issue the SEO Title you wrote in Yoast does not appear on the page?

    OR

    2. Is the issue the SEO Title you wrote in Yoast does not appear on Google?

    3. Can you provide a link to a product category page that highlights the issue?

    4. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    Hi,

    1. Yes
    2. I don’t know but probably yes as well.
    3. Example: https://deflectors.eu/product-category/vetrobrani-za-prozorci/dacia-vetrobrani/duster-dacia-vetrobrani/
    4. Yes, everything is up to date. Starting from the theme (Flatsome), WP and all the plugins at the end.

    Hi,

We can see you are using those template variables (those purple circles) to output a title. We understand this title is not appearing as expected. As we are not familiar with the language used in those purple circles are you able to translate them into English? That way we can see if there is an issue with how those template variables are working on that kind of page.

    Hello P. Costa!

Yes, the language is Bulgarian (Cyrilic alphabet). ??

Well, the variable is “Title of parent category” which doesn’t produce the text “AUDI дефлектори” (” AUDI hood deflectors” in English). In Yoast the text appears, but in reality on the page it doesn’t. Term title varible works though and displays “A4” or “100”(different models of AUDI; I mixed them in the example – my bad). It is displayed after the proposition “за” (“for”). So the only visible is “за 100…”. But it should have been “AUDi дефлектори за 100…”

That is it, which breaks the scheme.:) the “Title of parent category”

    Hi,

The Title of Parent Category template variable fails to work because it is a bug. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We apologize for the trouble you are experiencing with our plugin. A bug report is currently open with our development team for this issue.

The only workaround is to manually edit the title of the page to add in the title you want to appear.

In the meantime, we suggest signing up for our newsletter as that is where we will announce product changes and updates. You can sign-up for it here https://yoast.com/newsletter/.

    Hi Pcosta88,

Is there any solution to this bug already? Yoast Snippets still don’t work.

    Happy New 2020 and Christmas!
    Emil
