Hi, I always used the smush plugin along with w3 total cache. After the last update smush is showing this sentence:

You have several WordPress image optimization plugins installed. This can cause unpredictable behavior when optimizing your images, inaccurate reports, or images not displayed. For best results, use only one image optimizer plugin at a time. These plugins can cause problems with Smush:
    W3 Total Cache

    What should I do?

    Hi @juzammar,

Trying to enable the same features via different plugins can cause conflicts and hence you notice such a message.

W3 Total Cache also has a “Lazyload” Feature, so hence Smush ensures that the users are aware of this. So you’ll have to ensure that the “Lazyload” feature is enabled either in Smush or in the W3 Total Cache plugin and not both the plugins. This step should be enough to avoid any conflicts down the road.

The message is meant to highlight any potential conflict that can occur, and if you can confirm the “Lazyload “setting is only enabled in any one plugin then it should be good.

Please do let us know if you have any further queries. Have a nice day ahead.

    Best Regards,
    Nithin

    Hi Nithin
Lazy load is only active in smush, so I don’t understand why this message appears…
    Thank you

    Hi @juzammar

I did a look at this and I can see it is only a warning.

Since both plugins have this function, Smush is warning you that you should use only one solution not both at the same time.

As long you are not using both Lazy Loads you can ignore this warning.
