• I’m no expert with code of any kind. I dib-n-dab with HTML and that’s limited in scope. However, I can tell you this. I ran my sites through gtmetrix.com the other day as I always do and I saw that my images were not as optimized as they should have been.

    I got rid of the plugin that my web host created, No Names, and I loaded up Smush!

    It was like magic, I went quickly from a fair performance rating for overall page speed and got an excellent score!

    I may not be a rocket scientist folks, but my mother didn’t raise any fools!
    Like grandmom used to say “The proof is in the pudding” ?? Grandma knew her shiznit.

    I just tested my site while doing this review and pasted the results that I could copy down below:
    One last thing. I had myself going in circles because Google Search Console was not only giving me the wrong data but the things that they showed as being, wrong, were all three as a result of Adsense scripts, Google Tag Manager, and Google Analytics. I shut Adsense down and the site improved almost immediately!
