Hi, I’m running IDX Broker on our site, but PageSpeed is telling me that the real estate (MLS) images are not being lazy-loaded. Do the lazy-loaded images need to be hosted on the WP instance? These are being fed by the IDX Broker plugin to the site.

    Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @danielcpalmer

I hope you are doing good today.

If I get this correct, we talk about the main top image on the correct Property.
From what I see images are loading there as background images in DIV and Lazy Load should support this.

Could you enable “Native lazy load” in Smush -> Lazy Load and see if this helps?

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

Hi Kris, I’ve done that and cleared the server cache, and it still is not loading the IDX images + two random images at the bottom of the page. Costing me about 9 seconds.

    Thoughts?

    Hi @danielcpalmer

I hope you are doing well.

I did a closer look at your website and the result.

There are two issues with Lazy Load.

The first one is visible on the Mobile score, those images from IDX Broker are not applying the Lazy Load class so it is not lazyloading at all, the option that Kris suggested is the native Lazy Load instead of Smush JS script which means if those still not loading on Native Lazy Load I suggest contacting the Plugin team, nowadays the images should be compatible with Lazy Load or the plugin developers should apply own Lazy Load.

The second issue is related to Desktop reports, those are background images: https://monosnap.com/file/RSqPe7rnc1rF3YEmoyPmjw3sTs1mMs I am afraid we can’t Lazy Load those kinds of images, you need to contact the page builder support to verify if they have a native Lazy Loading option for those images or replace those images using the HTML tag: https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_img.asp
