Smush Leaves 4 Unsmushed

    I enabled the plugin and then smushed in bulk 48 images. It took my twice to complete the job. After it was finished, I received a message that all had been smushed. Then I ran a report on GT Metrix and it flagged my image size so I went back to smush and clicked re-check images. It said 4 needed to be smushed. No matter what I do I can’t get these 6 images to smush. I tried doing it manually in the actual image file in my media library but they are marked “smushed”.

    Can you give us URL to your site so we can run the test and see why are those images giving you troubles?

    I noticed that these are the images that are linked from my media section into my homepage widgets. They are not placed on an actual post or page.

    Usage of images doesn’t affect optimization, WP Smush will optimize images inside your media library regardless if they are actually used on front end or not.

    Hey @ss0530, As per our conversation over email, the images are optimised, only problem is because of small bug few images keep appearing in the image scan.

    Some of the images are bigger than the specified resize dimension and those images are not being resized as there are no savings with smaller width height.

    So the images are all optimised, it’s just that the plugin need to keep some sort of flag, to make sure that these images don’t keep appearing in scan.

    Hope to include a fix by next release mostly.
