Smush in progress entries in WP Options table

    Hi there, I’m doing a database cleanup and no longer have the Smush plugin installed. However, I see a lot of entries as such in the wp options table which autoload is set to yes.

    May I know if this option belong to your plugin? Can I remove them if I no longer use the Smush plugin?

    Yes, the option is related to Smush and could be due to a stuck process. Since you are no longer using Smush, please feel free to remove it. However, ensure that you create a backup before proceeding.

    Hi Nebu,

    Thanks for your reply. I found a few others under wp_options table

    skip-smush-setup

    wp-smush-resize_sizes

    wp-smush-hide_smush_welcome

    And another one under wp_postmeta: wp-smush-animated

    Are these safe to be removed as well?

    Yes, you can remove them.

    But just in case – do take backup first. Since Smush is not there, removing them won’t cause any issues but it’s always better to stay on the safe side as it’s an operation on the database.
