I recently received this error message in trying to upload this image to the server:

    “ad37-564×725.jpg
Post-processing of the image failed likely because the server is busy or does not have enough resources. Uploading a smaller image may help. Suggested maximum size is 2500 pixels.”

My web host technical support told me it’s likely that when the reSmush.it server is overloaded it prevents uploading images to my server.

If that’s what caused this failure there are a few problems:

    1. why doesn’t the error message offer more accurate information about the cause of the failure? For example, instead of saying “image post processing” why doesn’t it say there was an error caused by Smush?
    2. why should failure to access the Smush server to compress the image cause the entire image upload process to fail? Shouldn’t there be a way to bypass reSmush.it in that case and upload the image to my server, while offering a msg saying the file couldn’t be compressed?

Is there any way to adjust the plugin settings to avoid this problem in the future?

    > I’ll suggest this to our development team, so in future release a accurate information is displayed.

    > At the moment we cannot bypass the process, but I’ll report the issue to our development team if this can be figured out in next release.
