Okay guys, Smush plugin Lazy Loading is messing with my fullwidth slider.
On first load, the 1st slide loads correctly, but the rest of them are positioned lower on the page.
The second time through, they are all positioned correctly. I’ve tried disabling lazy load in the section (using the Smush settings) by css class and ID… doesn’t work. Tried disabling LL on the whole page… messed up the whole page.
Have y’all experienced this? Do I just need to dump Smush?

    Hi @gflower1

    I hope you’re well today!

Disabling Smush Lazy Load for “section” requires using specific IDs or classes of images themselves – it won’t work with ID/class of a parent/wrapper element. If those images have either a common class or some unique IDs (assigned to “img” tag) it’s worth trying.

Disabling Lazy Load for entire page, however, shouldn’t mess up things but there might be some caching or even asset optimization (e.g. CSS/JS optimization) getting in a way. So it might be necessary to clear all caches after such change and/or clear/regenerate optimized CSS/JS.

If that’s not the case or it doesn’t work, would you point us to the page in question so we could take a look at that slider directly?

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Thank Adam!

In Divi there isn’t a way to add ID/Class directly the image (at least not in my limited knowledge of CSS).

I’ll try some different combinations of caching/optimization after disabling the page and report back.

The site is currently inaccessible without modifying your local hosts file. Worst-case scenario: I’ll push it live and send you the page to inspect unless you’re willing/able to modify your hosts.

    Thanks!

I went back and disabled the entire page and its running fine. I’ve got a support ticket in with Divi to see about adding class or ID directly to slide image. But the Smush plugin seems to be working as it should.

    Thanks for your help!
