    Hello,

I recently installed Smush, however I just realized that all my images have been “re-sized”… Do I need to manually go through the hundreds of pages I have and reset each image size or is there a way to correct this automagically?

    Please advise / Thanks,

    Mark

  • Hi @freem33,

All the images look fine to me on the page that you provided. Could you please explain in a bit more detail what I should look for?

    Best regards,

    Hi Anton,

Most of my image settings were set as Medium “Size” with 100% “Dimensions”… After getting smushed, the images appear just massive…

Examining each page now, I am seeing the Medium “Size” setting appears to retained, however there is no set “Dimension”… I suspect that the image has simply reverted to some default setting (Full size I suspect) and is actually no longer really set to Medium.

This phenomenon is not restricted to images previously set to Medium “Size” – I have also seen this problem effecting some of my images previously set to Large “Size”.

I hope that helps clarify the situation.

    @freem33,

I think I understand what you are referring to. But Smush does not change images inside the content. The only thing that it does is compress the images. So a compressed “Medium” size would still be “Medium”, have the same file name and image dimensions.

I would recommend you check for other plugins that could cause this. A good place to start is by trying to disable Jetpack.

I’ve had Jetpack since inception, so I doubt that is the problem.

A couple of weeks ago I implemented a number of new plugins:
    – Hummingbird (which I since disabled since it screwed up my GeoMashUp Map features)
    – Hustle
    – Ivory Search
    – SmartCrawl
    – Smush

As Hummingbird or Smush are the only ones that impact images, I have to think it was one of them.

@freem33, at the moment all your images are served by Jetpack. You can check the image URLs and they will all point to WordPress servers. We can try and debug Smush, if you prefer, but that would still require disabling Jetpack to see how local images are served.

    Best regards,
    Anton
