Smugmug Slider On Loop Thumbnail Cycles Multiple Time & Repeating last 6 photos

    On first execution, The slider runs to the last picture in gallery then loops back, the thumbnail cycles through the whole gallery rapidly and the pictures stay stuck on the first 3 pictures then goes to last 3 pictures then back to the first 3 pictures. Once I hover over a picture and manually move from picture to picture, it resets itself and goes through the pictures on its own until it hits the end of the gallery and the loop takes place again

    While I can see this happening on your site, I am unable to replicate this with my own test galleries on a local installation. Can you tell me what shortcode you are using for this? If you don’t have the shortcode can you tell me what user name you are using and which album you are trying to show?

    Is there a secure way to send the information? I am just concerned some else maybe able to access the galleries?

    That being said, your demo page is linked here, and there is no way that your providing your shortcode (or your user and album name) provides any more information than that.

    From the looks of it, this is a bug within LightSlider, the third-party script that I use for the slider. You have specified the timeout parameter as 1000, which seems to get exceeded when LightSlider is trying to get back to the start of the gallery (since your gallery has 80 images the transition is taking time). That is causing some sort of a “whack-a-mole” problem, resulting in this behaviour. If you bump the timeout up to 2000 this problem seems to go away.

    Thank you for the quick response. I tried to just bump up the time but it still did not work.. so I also put a count of just 30 and bump up to 2500. It still does the same thing.

    Leave the speed at 1000, please, and just change the timeout.
