SMTP server on Lite version

    Hello,

    Should the Lite version work properly with the SMTP server (custom local provider – cpanel host). It tests and unfortunately every time I have a server connection error.

    An error occured:
    SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.

    Until now, I used the WP Mail SMTP plugin by WPForms and everything worked without any problems on the same settings.

    And I don’t know if this is a problem with the Lite version or is it a limitation or an error.

    I never had issues with the SMTP connection, in free or pro versions. I so far tested a lot of servers, without issues – if the settings are correct. The code to work with custom SMTP is practically identical in both plugin versions.

    My guess is that the settings you use are not correct in some way (security option with port combination can be a problem in most cases – some servers work using SSL on one port, but on different when using TLS).
