  • Hi, have you also selected TSL for type of encryption? If you have selected TSL and you still have an issue, can you enable Debug mode and carry out another test. Then check the log file.

    Hey there!

    Yes, I have SSL/TLS enabled. SMTP authentication disabled.

    Enabled debug and tried sending a test email. The page loaded for a solid 5 minutes before giving this error message:

    SMTP ERROR: Failed to connect to server: (0)SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting

    Debug Log is Empty

    This is hosted on a self managed VPS.

    All other options work with SMTP, I am able to link it up with a bunch of other services. Just not using Google’s SMTP relay feature: https://support.google.com/a/answer/2956491?hl=en

    Hi, in that case perhaps the plugin is not compatible with Google’s SMTP relay features. I have submitted a message to the developers to investigate further this issue.
